Honey Highlight: Winslow Summer Harvest

Winslow Summer Harvest honey has a rich golden color with a classic flavor to compliment holiday cookies, brownies, and pies, such as our honey pecan pie recipe.

The holiday months bring traditions surrounded by food.  As guests, we like to bring something to share, and isn’t baking a homemade pie tastier and more fulfilling than stopping at the grocery store? But many of us do not have the time to bake, so I wanted to combine an easy, tasty and classic holiday pie recipe to share with you. Pecan pie is one of those traditional holiday dishes. Our honey pecan pie is naturally sweetened with honey (no corn syrup!) and simple to make, and will certainly please any crowd.

Honey Pecan Pie

  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup broken pecan meats
  • Additional whole pecans for topping
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  1. Add honey to brown sugar and heat slowly to form a smooth syrup.
  2. Add butter, salt and vanilla.
  3. Slowly add eggs, stirring constantly.
  4. Add pecan meats, reserving a few whole pieces for the top.
  5. Pour into the unbaked pie shell.
  6. Top with reserved whole pecans.
  7. Bake in a 400°F oven for 10 minutes.
  8. Reduce heat to 350°F and bake and additional 30 minutes until firm.
