Quench your thirst with this sweet twist on traditional lemonade: Honey Vanilla Lemonade is a fun summer beverage, best enjoyed with friends by the pool on a hot summer day!

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups of Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup of Orange Blossom honey
  • 2 Cups of Water, Plus More as Needed
  • 1 Vanilla Bean
  • 2 and 1/2 Cups of Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • Lemon Wheels or Wedges (for Garnish)

Step 1

In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, honey, and 2 cups water and place over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Cut the vanilla bean in 1/2 lengthwise, then, using the back of the knife, scrape the vanilla seeds from the pod and add to the saucepan, along with the pod.

Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 4 or 5 minutes, until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture thickens.

Remove from the heat and allow to cool.

Step 3

Pour lemon juice into a gallon jug. Next, using a strainer to take out the vanilla pod, pour the cooled syrup into the jug.

Add water to the jug until the mixture is approximately 1 gallon.

Then, serve your lemonade over ice and garnish with lemon wedges or wheels!

For this recipe, we recommend that you try using our Orange Blossom Honey. Orange blossom honey is usually a floral, sweet honey harvested in the spring season each year. It works quite well in a recipe such as this one, when you primarily need to use your honey as a sweetener.
