We have traveled, eaten and shared time with loved ones and friends. Our bodies are tired and ready for rest before the New Year celebrations begin. A hot cup of tea, a squeeze of lemon and a spoonful of Arizona honey warms our bodies as the evenings become colder and darkness falls earlier each day. This simple honey concoction is our evening mantra during the winter months, often relieving the symptoms of scratchy throats and winter colds.
Soothing Honey Tea with Lemon
- One large mug
- Your favorite tea (Constant Comment is my personal favorite)
- One wedge of lemon (or a splash of lemon juice)
- One heaping spoonful of Absolutely Delightful Arizona Honey
Fill your mug with boiling water, steep your favorite tea for two minutes. Squeeze the lemon into the mug (I like to add the lemon wedge as well). If fresh lemons are unavailable, add two tablespoons of lemon juice. Take one large spoonful of your favorite Absolutely Delightful Arizona Honey and slowly stir until the honey is completely dissolved. Wrap your hands around the mug, curl up in a warm blanket, and sip until your last drop of tea is gone. Enjoy!
